I used to work in Scripps Ranch and the comings was less fun on the 15, mostly because more people were traveling in that direction. Seen at least three times cars broken into, including mine. Homeless people out and about and people not so friendly. Very quiet with little to no car traffic. Lovely place to live".

Sidewalks are clean and you very rarely see mess. Easy freeway access as well. Would recommend to people with families. People are always walking their dogs all around the neighborhood. I live close to a trolley station. Library events, police station safety fairs make this area such a great place to live in.

Most neighbors have owned their homes may years. Safe secure and welcome community. We raised our daughters here. It's great! Otherwise it can be a tad busy in the mornings from am and in the evenings from pm in weekdays. But nothing too bad. Just some of the reasons I love it so much! I work from home. But we are located close to all major thoroughfares. Only 5 minutes downtown La Mesa, and about 20 minutes to North Park. Mission Hills shopping is also very close.

And Grossmont Center is even closer. Neighbors are long time residents and all know each other and the community. Easy access to those with minimal traffic. Quiet, no issues with neighbors, police department and library close by, easy access to freeway and lake murray, cowels mountain for exercise.

Every year they have a December winter Christmas celebration, rides, restaurants open, vendors, a must see free event near Spring street. Are there gangs or drugs at Grossmont? Bottom line, Know what's going on with your kid, their friends, and their school. Lastly, both daughters are attending the colleges of their choice, and as of this posting, succeeding quite well.
