In addition to his work as a physician assistant trained in the fields of Otology-Neurotology, Gastroenterology and Surgical Oncology, he brings to the practice a complement of expertise in the biomedical field including working as a public health specialist and NIH-trained research scientist. She went on to study Audiology at the University of Washington, where she received her Audiology Doctorate in after completing a clinical fellowship year at Harvard's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Upon graduation, she was awarded the Carrel-Miner Achievement Award, recognizing outstanding clinical performance to one member of her graduating class.
