Worked at Baker for three months and I worked hard, I got into an accident via a third party while at work and there was some issues getting help from Baker.

They showed their true colors after one works hard and helps them out with things. Pros Fun place to work in, good hours, flexible management. If you put in the effort of an job looking for no responsibility, your reward will be appropriate. If you set goals within the company along with hard work, your reward will be appropriate. I was hired at Baker Dist as a temp. I trained for five months only to be replaced by a current employee from another branch with five years experience.

This was a very hard job. Had the circumstances been different I would have resigned after the first week. We where a skeleton crew, but considered fully staffed by corporate. We had to compete with other warehouses that where even much larger in size.

Pros None. Cons Everything. Done a lot of cleaning and wiping floors. Nothing much and enjoyed doing my own thing. It was very short and simple for newcomers, but you must learn to handle cleaning machines well.

The work is fairly simple once you get used to it, but the manager is condescending, passive aggressive, and verbally abusive most days. Your job will be threatened over the smallest of mistakes, and the caliber of your day will depend on the managers mood that day.

Every day the manager has a crisis and takes it out on everyone in the store including customers. I have personally been yelled at, talked down to, and cussed out in front of my colleagues and even customers. The manager also micromanages every aspect of what happens which makes completing tasks more difficult and the work less efficient.

This manager tries to make up for all of this will small favors like lunches, or occasionally a team night. However the bad far outweighs the good. Personally, I started the job motivated, but at this point I dread walking through the door in the morning.

The job as I said, is great. I would have happily stayed employed there, but a bad manager can ruin a great job. Cons Highly toxic management, high stress for little to no reason. This company was the absolute worst place that I have ever worked. I worked at corporate in an analyst position and it was what every person dreads. It was really hard to watch and then to finally experience myself. When I went and talked to management about it they would seem outraged and say things to placate me to make me think that it would be addressed. It finally came to a head when I left work because I was sick of being literally watched by my trainer and him getting upset that I would actually take my allotted breaks.

HR knew about this individual, they would constantly want to have meetings with me to ask how I was being treated as they have been unable to keep this position filled for longer than a few months. Being lied to, and taken advantage of if you're an honest worker is to be expected.

Purchasing is ineffective and outdated putting the company at a disadvantage to others in the industry. Do not challange authority and the system at this company or you will be left in the dark by the good ol' boys running it.

Work can be rewarding as you will stay very busy but Management is very language abusive and policy is all over the board. Very unsafe as far as Covid goes. Pros very busy and some good customers. Quality Control. Warehouse Associate. Driver Warehouse Associate. Good ole boys club. No advancement. Low pay and horrible benefits. All Corporate Management needs to go, they are out of touch and behind the times. They hold positions they were never qualified for.
